What is Mental Weight™?

This unique concept, created by Dr. Maurice Larocque, namely the Mental Weight™ questionnaire, it's used to measure what is happening in your head regarding your weight problem.

Mental Weight™ is the weight that a person would weigh if, each time she wanted to eat, she let her bad habits take over without her willpower stepping in.
This is the result of what happens in her head and what motivates her to eat.

Mental WeightTM is measured based on five main factors
that could be behind weight problems:

By redoing it every month, you are “reweighing” your head and monitoring the changes in your behaviour just like a scale follows changes in your body weight. We can then recommend one or two specific habits for you to adopt the following month based on your personal criteria. This also allows us to provide you with motivational tools so that you can reach your goal.

The goal is to reduce the mental weight to the desired body weight so that you can easily maintain your weight without having to constantly fight against your willpower.

What is behavioural change?

The accumulation of fatty cells under the skin reflects an imbalance, whether it be physical or psychological. And this is true for anyone who is overweight. Many think it is their heredity or glands that are the reason, but when we push a bit further, we clearly and easily identify the actual reasons for putting on weight.

These causes originate from poor lifestyle, bad food habits and a bad attitude toward food. Therefore, our habits are automatic and unconscious behaviours, acquired through repetitive actions. A habit is good or bad depending on how it affects a person's health. Empirically we can see most habits can be acquired or eliminated in between four and 21 days. Ultimately, we can say that our tastes, our thoughts and emotions can be considered to be habits, i.e., they are the result of conditioning. Therefore, they can be acquired or eliminated. Repetition or the lack of repetition is the key factor.

If you only follow a diet — any diet — it is like treating the symptom
without getting rid of the cause.

Before anything, we must find the root of the bad habits, since, by identifying these, we will find the solutions that will help you lose weight. There is no use in following a diet if you are not ready to change the causes behind the habits that are preventing you from losing weight.

Take no chances.

Accept to analyze your behaviour and work on yourself.
Use the appropriate tools: books, audio programs, personal growth courses or therapy.
With the Mental Weight™ Questionnaire, we suggest specific habits to adopt based on certain criteria. It's far easier than you think!
So move toward your ultimate goal: to be slim, but, more than anything, to feel good about yourself.
